The Orange County Water District (OCWD) was established in 1933 by an act of the California Legislature. The District provides water to 19 member agencies in north and central Orange County with a population of 2.5 million residents. OCWD manages the Orange County Groundwater Basin, the Santa Ana River, and Groundwater Replenishment System.
