The Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County (OC LAFCO) is responsible for overseeing the boundaries, establishing and updating Sphere of Influence, and preparing Municipal Service Reviews (MSRs) for each of the County’s 34 independent and dependent special districts. OC LAFCO prepares MSRs for the purpose of producing studies that are educational and valuable to stakeholders and the public by raising awareness about effective service delivery and opportunities to provide municipal services efficiently, equitably, and reliably. Some of the data included as part of an MSRs are demographics, maps, delivery of municipal services, contact information, and governance. OC LACO has prepared three cycles of MSRs and is currently undertaking its fourth MSR cycle. The links below provide an up-to-date repository of data that is used as part of the MSR analysis. Since MSRs for special districts are conducted every five years, the data for each special district will be updated annually.
